With two full bathrooms and four bedrooms, our Dakota Game Lodge can comfortably accommodate 10 people. If you have a party with more than 10 people, tents and RVs are also welcome.
Wondering about accommodation for your four legged companion at Dakota Game Lodge? We provide four 5’x5’x6’ boarding kennels in our heated shop. Your dogs can rest from a long day of hunting with a room to stretch out. Please note, pets are not allowed in the lodge.
You'll also have access to our trap shooting range. Test your skills, break in a new gun or just enjoy firing off a few rounds on our Atlas Wobble Trap Thrower. For those who live in the area, the trap shooting range is available to rent whenever the lodge is not booked.
We can accommodate your party with ANY special requests or needs, including transportation. We take pride in providing a highly tailored experience for hunters and travelers alike.

Dakota Game Lodge was established in 2012. The lodge is currently owned by Steve and Kris Scherr who purchased the lodge from their son Bryan, the original owner, in 2018.
Steve and Kris spent their life milking cows and raising crops until 2005 when they started their own seed company. After selling the seed company in 2015 they ventured into the hunting world with a kennel to breed and train Vizslas. In 2018 they had the opportunity to combine their hunting dogs with the kennel.
Steve and Kris have 6 children: Bryan (Jessica) Scherr, Lori (David) Hettick, Kayla Pietz, Sarah (Cody) Wesch, Kevin (Jade) Scherr, and Crystal (Ulises) Duran. They are the proud grandparents of 14 grand children!
